By creating an account or using BiblioSmart, you accept these terms. The service is operated by the natural person who runs the BiblioSmart application.
1. Parties and service
BiblioSmart is operated by the operator of the application, a natural person (not a company or other commercial entity). Correspondence address: available on request via contact@bibliosmart.app.
BiblioSmart is a free personal book inventory web app, offered without commercial purpose and without monetization by the operator: manual or photo/video import, pre-purchase checks, categories, recommendations, and account settings.
Optional AI features use the API key you provide (BYOK); any fees owed to your AI provider are paid by you directly, not by the operator.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 and have a valid email. You are responsible for your password and account activity.
One account per person unless otherwise allowed. Information you provide must be accurate.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for illegal activity, malware, disrupting infrastructure, or accessing other users' data.
Your library content is yours; you are responsible for having the right to store images and metadata you upload.
AI features use the API key you provide; comply with your AI provider's terms.
4. AI features and API keys (BYOK)
AI settings are optional. You supply your own API key; we store it to send requests on your behalf.
We do not guarantee accuracy of recommendations, synopses, or photo identifications. Verify important information before purchase decisions.
You may remove or change your key anytime in Settings.
5. Availability and changes
We aim for reasonable availability but provide the service "as is" without uninterrupted operation warranty.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, data loss caused by you or third parties, or decisions based on AI recommendations.
Total liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months or, for the free service, zero.
7. Termination
Delete your account in Settings → Delete account (email code confirmation).
We may suspend or close accounts for serious terms violations or security risk, with notice where feasible.
8. Privacy
Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy (https://bibliosmart.app/confidentialitate). Contact: contact@bibliosmart.app.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law.
Disputes should be resolved amicably first, then by competent courts in Romania unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after publication may constitute acceptance where permitted by law; we will notify you of material changes.
